I've been commissioned by Welsh National Opera, the Association of British Orchestras, Garsington Opera, English Touring Opera, Nevill Holt Festival, Dorset Opera Festival, Waterperry Opera Festival, Oxford International Song Festival, the National Opera Studio, The English Concert, Aurora Orchestra, il Pomo d'Oro, London Sinfonietta, Instruments of Time and Truth, Orpheus Sinfonia, St Paul's Opera, Hampstead Garden Opera, Trinity Laban, Blackheath Halls Opera, Salon Opera, Vache Baroque & the Romanian Cultural Institute. As resident photographer at many of the summer festivals, I photograph rehearsals, productions, concerts & events, young artists & community/education projects.
My images have been published in Opera (front cover, Aug 2025), Classical Music Magazine, Opernwelt, Opera Today, Opera Now, The New York Times, The FT, The Guardian, The Observer, Country Life, Bachtrack, inews, The Times, The Scotsman, The Spectator & The Stage.
I shoot on professional silent Nikon cameras, am on the Enhanced DBS Update Service and have my own transport.
I trained as a baritone at RSAMD (now Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) and sang for many years in opera choruses and with professional choirs in the UK & around Europe. Alongside this I worked in theatre & opera administration for 20 years. I love being part of the creative process, producing striking images for companies and artists.
