I've been commissioned by Welsh National Opera, Garsington Opera, English Touring Opera, Dorset Opera, Oxford International Song Festival, National Opera Studio, Aurora Orchestra, London Sinfonietta & Orpheus Sinfonia. As resident photographer at Garsington I photograph dress rehearsals & concerts, young artists, education projects & company events. Additionally I've captured shows at Romanian National Opera, Royal Academy of Music & If Opera. My images have been published in Opera, Opernwelt, Opera Today, Opera Now, The New York Times, The FT, The Guardian, The Observer, inews, The Times, The Scotsman, The Spectator and The Stage.
I trained as a baritone at RSAMD (now Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) and sang for many years in opera choruses and with professional choirs in the UK & around Europe. Alongside this I’ve worked in theatre & opera administration for 20 years. My performing background and operatic knowledge helps me anticipate the important moments and tell the story of the show.
